Which markets are offering the most rent concessions? The top five markets with the highest percentage of communities offering concessions are scattered across the country. Salt Lake City tops the list with 54% of the market’s rental advertisements offering at least one concession. San Jose, California, follows with 51%. Washington, D.C. comes in third with 50%. Charlotte, North Carolina, is fourth with 48%, while Minneapolis takes the final spot to round out the top 5 with 47%. However, not all markets are offering concessions. New Orleans shows only 9% of communities offering concessions, while Providence, Rhode Island, and Miami each came in with 14%. New York has 15% of multifamily communities offering concessions.
