BEHIND THE SCENES! Celebrating Small Wins Along the Way As I near the end of this Behind the Scenes journey, one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of celebrating small wins. Whether it was finishing a chapter, navigating a tricky section, or just making it through a tough writing day—every step forward matters! 🎉 Why Small Wins Matter: It’s easy to get caught up in the big picture and feel like you’re not making enough progress. But I found that acknowledging every little achievement gave me the energy to keep going. Each small win reminded me that I was moving forward, even on the toughest days. 🏆 How I Celebrate: Sometimes, it was as simple as taking a break, treating myself to something I love, or just reflecting on how far I’ve come. These moments of celebration helped me stay grounded and motivated. ("ice cream and shopping were always my go-to's") 😊 ✨ How do you celebrate progress, big or small? Share your thoughts! #CelebrateTheJourney #SmallWinsBigImpact #ProgressNotPerfection #WritingMilestones

Nilan Peiris, Chief Product Officer at Wise, shared the lessons learned from scaling wise at #mtpcon London 2023 keynote. 🔑 My Key Takeaway Unleashing the power of word of mouth : 1️⃣ In Q3 of 2013, Wise attracted 40,000 customers, with 70% discovering the platform through word of mouth. In Q3 2023, 63% of customers found out about Wise from a friend, showcasing sustained growth. 2️⃣ Wise’s growth from moving £250 million a year to over £120 billion a year demonstrates that word of mouth can successfully scale in a large company. 3️⃣ Customer advocacy spikes when product quality moves from a rating of 5 to 6 and again from 6 to 8, emphasizing the importance of exceeding customer expectations 📹 Video link : https://lnkd.in/ddZtjnUk

Celebrating Small Wins "Sometimes, we focus so much on the big goals that we forget to appreciate the small wins along the way." Recently, I’ve learned the importance of taking a step back and celebrating those little achievements. Whether it’s sticking to a routine, completing a task that’s been on my to do list forever, or just learning something new it all adds up. Small progress is still progress. And it’s those small steps that eventually lead to big changes. What’s your small win for today? #SmallWins #Progress #EveryStepCounts #CelebrateTheJourney #KeepGoing

This clip is not just amazing in its own right, but let me explain why I feel so much heart and power from this 1:00 clip. 1. Being in the recycling industry, we are all competitors in one way or another, but we all have amazing friendships, mentorships, and hero’s that we run to, lean on, and learn from. 2. Anyone of those listed above will listen, advice, and PUSH US to the finish line when needed. 3. ITS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT BEING FIRST! Let me repeat that. ITS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT BEING FIRST! Sometimes being the pusher (aka 2nd place) has more meaning and benefits. Ex. Are you the pusher so that your customer can be first? Because I can promise you that will always be the better option. Our customers in each of our facilities are the reason we are all doing what we do. The legacy I want to leave behind after I’m gone is not all the money I made or the material things I collected. When some one hears my name I want them to say, “ she had an amazing heart, passion and went above and beyond in customer service”! Our business relationships, partnerships, and standards shape who we are as people and a company and that is just as important as the bottom line. This industry of ours is full of so many people that will always offer a hand up and that is why I LOVE being small part of it.
