Where does your target market hang out?
Karen's got it all figured out.
She knows that dog walkers will be in her local wood so why not advertise there?
All be it, not the finest print job you've ever seen, but in the right place to get quality enquiries.
I'm sure Nicholas Broadbent could help her out with the signage side!
Question is: Where does your target market hang out?
OFFICER EXPLOITATION...
I recently came across a Mexican Food restaurant in West Houston (area of HWY 6 @ I-10) who is paying a Security Company for armed Officers. The reason - several months ago, the restaurant had a MURDER in their parking lot - a drug deal gone bad.
One of our employees spoke with the on-duty Officer at the site, recently, and the Officer shared he was being paid $11/hour by the Security firm. The Officer had no vest, no actual duty rig, did not even have a flashlight on him, working at night. My employee asked the Officer his role at the restaurant and quickly determined the Officer had little training and knowledge about what he could and could not do.
I'm tired of hearing the "budget" excuse. This is Officer exploitation, at its finest. It's pathetic, irresponsible, and is detrimental to the industry that some of us are trying to keep professional.
I WON'T STAY SILENT ABOUT THIS! It isn't right! It has to change!

Things I'm doing today:
1) Building a fence today at my place in the mountains.
2) Cooking a chicken in a crock pot.
3) Puttering on a car I'm building for Laguna Secca.
4) Laundry.
5) Watching a Movie while hitting a 9 pm bedtime.
"You Can't 'Six Gun' Your Way Through Life"
In the spice world, the "six gun" spice is a generic blend that many people sprinkle on everything. While it might spice up various dishes, relying solely on it can lead to missed opportunities to explore more nuanced and sophisticated flavours.
This concept extends beyond the kitchen and into our personal and professional lives.
Too often, we find ourselves relying on the same approaches, strategies and solutions because they are familiar and easy. However, just like a dish deserves more than just one generic spice, our lives and careers deserve more than one-size-fits-all solutions.

Some additions to slide 4:
In the ever-evolving landscape of operations, the true trailblazers aren’t merely followers of established wisdom. They’re the ones who dig deeper, question assumptions, and fearlessly challenge the status quo. 🌟
For example,
Michael E. Porter, His recent work sometimes challenges his own initial theories. Innovation thrives on questioning the familiar. 🤔
Shuji Nakamura, With 500+ publications and 300 patents, he exemplifies the spirit of continuous exploration. 📈💡
Jeff Bezos, Back in 1994, he dared to sell books online when the world was skeptical. Now, look at Amazon! 📚🌐
The key is to embrace Continuous Learning, stay curious! Invest time in understanding systems, processes, and trends. Be up-to-date, but don’t stop there—apply that knowledge to real-world scenarios. Recognize that change is inevitable. Be willing to unlearn and relearn when better information emerges, and like a scientist in the lab, always test your hypotheses. What works? What needs adjustment?
If you’re still citing papers from 5 years ago, you’re just chasing a grade. Seek knowledge and site recent studies!
