YOU DON'T NEED IVY LEAGUES OR UC OR STANFORD TO GET A JOB. YOU CAN JUST ENROLL IN COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR A LOW BUDGET PLANNING. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF INTO DEBT TO EARN A DEGREE - IT DOES NOT WORTH. JUST STUDY WHAT YOU ENJOY TO DO IN THE GOVERNMENT SPONSORED PROGRAM SUCH AS VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET A JOB PLUS STIPEND SOMETIMES DURING THE TRAINING PERIOD WHEN YOU BECAME AN INTERN IN A COMPANY. WHY NOT HIT TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE AND GET A JOB WHEN YOU GRADUATED WITH A SHORT PERIOD TRAINING FOR A LONG TERM PLAN.

This is exciting to me---this could open many doors for not only traditional students but adult learners as well. Who will be among the first institutions to embrace this? Co-op programs are truly invaluable for college students, and this article captures why they were my favorite part of my degree. When deciding between Drexel University and Northeastern, I was drawn to both schools for their outstanding co-op opportunities. Ultimately, I chose Drexel, and those experiences shaped my career path in profound ways. While many of my peers found full-time roles through their co-op placements, it was through these hands-on experiences that I discovered my true passion for business and marketing, leading me to add a business degree to my program and pursue what I love. #CoopPrograms #HigherEducation #CareerDevelopment #DrexelUniversity #Drexeldragon #Business #Marketing #ExperientialLearning

Founder/CEO Social Capital Builders. Recognized innovator and pioneer advancing economic mobility and impact through social capital education and social network analysis.
Are We Missing the Point? A 2024 study by the Burning Glass Institute and Strada Education Foundation shows that nearly half of recent college graduates are underemployed, working in jobs that don’t require a degree. Yet, we continue to focus almost exclusively on what students know rather than who they know. This data should make us rethink how we prepare young people for the workforce. Social capital—the value of one's connections to institutions, individuals, and organizations - plays a critical role in overcoming this misalignment. While a degree can open doors, it’s relationships that often determine whether someone walks through them. What if we placed equal emphasis on building social capital? It’s time we redefine career preparation. If we really want to bridge the gap, social capital literacy needs to become part of the equation. Let’s challenge ourselves to think beyond the diploma and consider how we can truly set students up for success. https://lnkd.in/eFraVmBP
