Building a trusted network of well placed influencers within your value network can take years. But we don’t have years to get the work done to drive market transformation in support of the #futurewewant. Sustainable Brands is often characterized as a unique #community of influence where partnerships can form to accelerate financially viable change, and that is for a reason. As a community, we are intentional about creating conditions for building #sharedvision around the #whatsnext and for enabling human connections at a pace unequalled in most settings. Why? Because this is what it takes to accomplish our mission to reshape the #global #economy so that the #brands that lead the way to a flourishing #future are the ones that will thrive in the days ahead. Come on in. Find hope and smart, well placed friends who share your ambition for a different kind of competitive landscape. One that rewards bold, #breakthrough #innovation for #environmental and #social #benefit. Join leaders and friends like Virginie Helias, Amanda Nusz Douglas Sabo Jane Ewing Niki King Paula Alexander Sally Uren Joanne Dwyer Jose Gorbea Cindy Drucker Joselynne Fynboh Pamela Gill Alabaster Maddy Kulkarni Diana Birkett Rakow Kulkarni John Fullerton Bonnie Nixon Sandy Skees Roma A. Here is the problem. You and your team host a limited number of great gatherings where faculties are expected to deliver detailed information on innovations that have been proven to work, and how others can benefit from them. You are battling against literally thousands of NGO and other style events where way too many “experts” are given 10 to 20 minutes to present inspirational, self-referential, echo chamber talks that support a narrative. People agree to do this because they either do not want to lose their place, or they want to insert themselves in, the flow of capital from the top of the socioeconomic pyramid that is meant for the bottom. This week in particular, we are seeing hundreds of posts about UN and Climate week, including the UN Global Compact. These organizations spend more time organizing the self referential, echo chamber style meetings, and commissioning studies than they do scaling proven innovations. It is hard to compete with flows of government and philanthropic capital that runs into the trillions. If people do not tow the line and applaud the narrative they lose their place at the feeding trough. Your events are way better than any organized by the above, because they (continued)
