Testing Cross-platform Mobile Apps? Here is what to consider: - Where to test: Identify the most common devices and operating systems for your users and target audience. - What to test: Identify the critical flows in your application and ensure those are covered by a "regression" suite that you run all the time. - How to test (at scale): For complex platforms invest in Automated testing and build a regression test suite. Run it on Real-devices with browser stack or AWS device farms. - When to test: Run your automated test-suite after every change to ensure nothing breaks. Run manual regression for every release. 📊 Recent studies show a significant shift in user behavior, with mobile apps accounting for an impressive 90% of total time spent on mobile devices. This trend highlights the growing preference for the convenience and functionality offered by mobile applications. However, manual testing of mobile apps poses considerable challenges for testing teams. The sheer volume of diverse devices, platforms, and user interactions makes manual testing time-consuming, error-prone, and challenging to scale effectively. Since a lot of our projects face these challenges, we're focused on the importance of automation, not only for efficiency but to address specific use cases critical for users. This includes testing for geolocation, in-app purchases, payment gateways, front-end performance, and specific gestures... You get the gist. ⚡️ Our bet is that this will be even more important this year, with companies and development teams striving to be more efficient. Making big moves for our customers in 2024! #MobileAppTesting #Automation #BrowserStack 🌐
