This is AMAZING! I have seen the effects of pre-eclampsia and IUGR firsthand, and it is alarming to know something so simple as aspirin has the possibility to reduce these risks. To quote the article: A pregnant woman may also be at risk if she is pregnant for the first time, is 35 or older, has a body mass index greater than 30, or has a family history of pre-eclampsia. Taking aspirin reduces the risk of pre-eclampsia by 15 percent, while reducing the risk of premature birth by 20 percent and reducing the risk of another complication, intrauterine growth restriction, by 18 percent, studies have found. Ask your provider, "Is there any reason why I couldn't take low-dose aspirin throughout my pregnancy?" https://lnkd.in/gx7zM5wJ

During pregnancy, an estimated 8.5 to 11% of women meet diagnostic criteria for major or minor depression, and even more women report elevated levels of prenatal depressive symptoms. Studies have revealed that elevated prenatal depressive symptoms are associated with differences in amygdala functioning and structure as well as increased connectivity between prefrontal and limbic areas of the brain.
