🔍 5 Key Criteria for Assessing a Hardware Engineer's Skills When evaluating the potential of a hardware engineer, it’s essential to focus on specific skills. 1️⃣ First, ask technical questions to gauge their fundamental knowledge. This helps assess their understanding of core concepts. 2️⃣ Second, request examples of devices they've designed. This shows their hands-on experience and ability to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios. 3️⃣ Third, emphasize their focus on layouts. Understanding and experience in designing efficient layouts is crucial. 4️⃣ Fourth, assess their ability to work with documentation (Confluence) and version of product, which is vital for any hardware project. 5️⃣ Lastly, the candidate should have ambitions for growth, such as a desire to learn and design more complex devices. These criteria not only measure their current abilities but also their potential to grow and contribute meaningfully in a dynamic field. 📨 Message us if you need any assistant with similar role. #TechHiring #ResumeTips #YRecruiter

To the managers who are hiring for circuit design: Dear hiring managers, I've seen many cases where companies have been searching for senior circuit design engineers for years, but they're not willing to hire junior engineers and train them up. I understand that you want to hire the best and brightest engineers, but the reality is that there is a shortage of experienced circuit design engineers in whole world, especially in Armenia. In fact, if you had hired a junior engineer three years ago, they would be a senior engineer by now. But because you're not willing to give junior engineers a chance, and I know someone who do not even answering messages from junior engineers, you're missing out on the opportunity to develop your own talent pipeline. Well, good luck in your searches lol Hashtags: #circuitdesign #engineers #hiring #opportunity #diversityandinclusion

📢Boston-Based Optical Engineer #Recruitment Concludes A month ago, we posted a #job opening, and within just a week, we received 292 applications. The response was overwhelming, and we had to close the application early because reviewing so many resumes became a Herculean task. For an early-stage #startup like ours, this was a dream come true. We sincerely thank everyone who applied. We aimed to respond to each of you, but if you didn't receive a reply, please forgive our oversight. Myself and four other tech leaders meticulously reviewed the resumes and conducted Zoom interviews with 20 candidates. Each candidate had 15 minutes to present their research, followed by a Q&A session. We met some outstanding researchers, and we valued experience in organism measurement and small optical system design. We then selected five finalists. For the second round, we presented them with three case studies and asked them to come back with solutions a week later. The level of focus and dedication they displayed was phenomenal. Despite being the interviewers, we felt like we learned just as much. Finally, we chose our top two candidates, whom we will introduce soon. Admittedly, those who applied later faced a disadvantage due to our rolling basis. However, we are planning to set up a new research lab in the Greater #Boston early next year and will be hiring multiple #optical engineers, #mechanical design engineers, and electronic #circuit design engineers. Follow Apollon and apply as soon as the job postings go live! 🚀
