History often can help inform the future. Whether it’s to avoid making the same mistakes or to learn how things were done - long forgotten reasons that have come around again to having value and a place in the world. Innovation is often the recombining of things to create something new. The big question is How / so Start by asking what if. What if we did xyz. Start wide #ideate wild ideas, get creative and ask fundamental BIG challenging questions / what if we didn’t use (polyester/oil/trees) and then when you have exhausted the possibilitie for alternatives add sense to them. It doesn’t mater whether your industry is 6% of emissions or 2, that you impact natural resources more or less than another what matters is that you take responsibility to do better and start. Apollo 8 astronaut William Landers(who saldy died last week) took the stunning picture named earthrise in 1968. It showed us a our world in a different way, through a different lens literally the lens of an astronaut looking back down earth from the edge of space. Use history and a different lens to help you see a better future. #innovation #history #impact Pic Earthrise

Lunar Outpost EU is proud to celebrate its two-year anniversary! Based in Luxembourg, our team is focused on developing cutting-edge thermal technologies that complement the planetary mobility and robotics platforms, such as MAPP and the Lunar Terrain Vehicle, being developed by Lunar Outpost in the United States. These innovative thermal solutions will enable lunar night survival and ensure operations in some of the toughest environments in our solar system. However, our mission remains consistent worldwide: to enable a sustainable human presence in space while utilizing the vast resources in space to drive positive impacts here on Earth. “When it comes to understanding our universe and what’s around us, the better we understand where we live, the better our understanding of where we fit into it,” says Julian Cyrus, Co-founder and COO of Lunar Outpost. “From a long-term perspective, in terms of the sustainment of the human species, being able to reach out into the universe and establish ourselves off of Earth could provide longevity and stress our planet less.” #TheNextLeap #LunarOutpost #SpaceTech #Moon #Mission

Imagine if we treated Earth like a spaceship—a closed, self-contained system where every resource matters, and waste simply isn’t an option. That’s the essence of the Astronaut Economy, and it’s the shift we desperately need today. Yet, many still operate in the Cowboy Economy mindset: the belief that resources are endless, that we can just keep consuming and moving on to new frontiers. But here’s the reality—our planet doesn’t have limitless resources, and there’s no “backup Earth” waiting in the wings. Why do Astronauts see things differently? They know resources are finite. They prioritize reuse and recycling. They respect every drop, every ounce, every piece. In a circular economy, we adopt the astronaut mindset: We conserve what we can. We repurpose rather than discard. We innovate within the limits we have. In other words: We stop treating Earth like a limitless prairie. We start respecting it as our shared “space station.” So, which one are you—a cowboy or an astronaut? When will you take your “flight to space”?

Did you know it takes Earth 1 𝙡𝙖𝙠𝙝 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 to slightly change its orbital shape? Yet here we are, expecting instant results for our efforts: 👉 We create a pitch deck and expect investors to start pouring in money immediately. 👉 We launch a BETA product version and want millions of users to sign up overnight. 👉 We hit the gym, lift a dumbbell, and hope our body transforms instantly. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘺. True progress—whether in nature, business, or personal growth—requires 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚, 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩. Think about Earth. It keeps going, orbit after orbit, with unwavering persistence. Each orbit may not seem like much, but over time, those consistent efforts lead to monumental changes. 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭: Earth just completed one of those 1 lakh orbits today, a tiny milestone in its grand journey. We’re rejoicing over this single orbit, but there are still 99,999 more to go. This reminds us: 👉 Progress is 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁. 👉 Success comes from 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘀. So, let Earth’s quiet, determined journey inspire us. If it takes nature 1 lakh years to create a slight change, why should we expect results overnight? Remember, every small effort adds up. Keep going. #Happynewyear2025

Astronaut who spent 178 days in space shares his entirely new perspective after what he witnessed in space Talking about what he witnessed, the astronaut, Ron Garan, explained: "When I looked out the window of the International Space Station, I saw the paparazzi-like flashes of lightning storms, I saw dancing curtains of auroras that seemed so close it was as if we could reach out and touch them. "And I saw the unbelievable thinness of our planet's atmosphere. In that moment, I was hit with the sobering realisation that that paper-thin layer keeps every living thing on our planet alive. "I saw an iridescent biosphere teeming with life. I didn't see the economy. But since our human-made systems treat everything, including the very life-support systems of our planet, as the wholly owned subsidiary of the global economy, it's obvious from the vantage point of space that we're living a lie." Try and imagine what Garan was thinking while he had an uninterrupted view of the planet. He experienced what's known as the 'overview effect'. This describes the cognitive shift that a lot of astronauts feel when looking at Earth from space - researchers compare it to a state of awe with self-transcendent qualities. With this unique perspective from his time on the International Space Station (ISS), he drew some very profound conclusions about our way of life. Talking to the Big Think, Garan said that he realised the things that most humans are worried about aren't a big deal after all - but we should be a lot more concerned about global warming, deforestation and biodiversity loss. We agree. That's why here at ICEX GROUP we like to play our part in helping organisations to reduce their adverse impact on the environment by managing their IT Assets better. Imagine the headline, back in the 1900s, when the #WrightBrothers were working on their plane, "What do we gain from taking over the sky?". Or the headline "What do we gain from #electricity and wireless #information" when #Tesla and #Edison were working on powering the world. What was gained when we came down from the trees? What was gained when we explored the Oceans? What is gained when we reach these new horizons? I am always baffled when we question the value of pushing new boundaries. There is a #quantum leap in #evolution coming that will redefine our understanding of the human experience and what is possible. There is one thing guaranteed, we always find ways to create opportunities for rewards. The question is not IF but WHEN. You can read more of my thoughts with the links in the comments.
