It's a wake-up call for managers who lack humility and people skills. The toxic work environments and poor management are harming young professionals in India, stifling their potential. To impress managers, many of us end up overworking, accepting lower salaries, and facing increasing pressure with extra hours and overtime, often without any breaks. This unhealthy culture can lead to burnout and dissatisfaction, as the expectation to perform at unsustainable levels becomes the norm. This situation underscores that there is nothing admirable about the culture of overwork. For many, finding a new job can feel like liberation from the burden of such toxic workplaces. At the end of the day, everyone is replaceable. It's essential to prioritize your own life and well-being rather than dedicating everything to work. Balance is key.
