In a special edition of this week's newsletter, LBC wants to shoutout new and unique stories from our material donors! Every year hundreds of organizations, individuals, partners and collaborators donate reusable items that LBC can then give back to our West End community - and this week is no different! We would like to send a shoutout to Atlanta Housing for donating a variety of antique cabinet sets that have been put to amazing use in our community. Through LBC's partnership in deconstructing facilities in East Lake Highrise, a senior living residence, we were able to salvage these materials which otherwise would have gone to landfills. For instance, two five-piece sets are in the process of being utilized by a client - who is a residential contractor in Atlanta's West End (30310) - to provide sustainable upgrades to affordable housing initiatives in West End neighborhoods. Without Atlanta Housing Authority's generosity and assistance, this would not have been possible.
