Here's the deal: a few months back, being unemployed didn't seem so scary. I had my savings and thought, "I've got this." But then life threw a curveball – my dad got sick, and suddenly, everything changed.
Yesterday, I filed for my last week of unemployment, and honestly, I'm at a bit of a loss. In the last half year, I've sent out countless applications, had some really promising interviews, and came close a few times to landing something great. One job even slipped through my fingers just because I'm not in the Eastern Time Zone full-time, even though I'm up before the birds and work best on EST time.
So, here's where I'm at: I need a job, like yesterday. I've already cut back on everything non-essential, and I'm staring down some tough decisions – including possibly saying goodbye to LinkedIn, which I'd really hate to do.
This post is me reaching out, hoping someone out there might have a lead, advice, or even a temp or contract gig to throw my way. I never thought I'd be in this spot, but here I am, asking for a hand.
I've been an Executive Assistant for years, and I love what I do – organizing, planning, making things run smoothly. I'm ready to bring my skills and enthusiasm to your team, wherever you are, as long as you're okay with my flexible location.
If you can help or know someone who might, please drop me a message. Any leads or advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this, I appreciate you all!
