Take a fascinating voyage with us as we unravel the mysterious fabric of "Life is Strange 1." This compelling five-episode narrative-driven masterpiece from Dontnod Entertainment tells a story of mystery and repercussions in each episode. Come along with us as we explore Arcadia Bay's twists and turns, where every decision we make becomes a brushstroke on the canvas of a once-in-a-lifetime gaming experience.
Feeling nostalgic lately? Remasters and remakes are all the rage these days, covering classics from the 90-00's era like Tomb Raider, Max Payne, or Metal Gear Solid, to later hits that pushed gaming into the mainstream like The Last of Us, Hitman, or even Epic Mickey!
As game development becomes pricier, lengthier, and riskier, the industry is leaning heavily on this safer strategy: revamping cherished classics to appeal to nostalgic players, spanning generations.
What game would you love to see remastered or remade?

Is the next evolution in gaming found within the pages of a book?
Remedy Entertainment Plc and Epic Publishings ‘Alan Wake 2’ has not just captivated players and spectators; it has ignited a desire that echoes, with some saying “IT MAKES ME WANT TO READ”
Drawing inspiration from horror maestro Stephen King, ‘Alan Wake 2’ masterfully blends reality, fantasy, and horror—a symphony in the vein of David Lynch. Beyond gaming, I believe it serves as a gateway to literature, particularly for those craving spine-tingling horror and psychological suspense.
In an era where video games metamorphose into cinematic marvels and successful game-to-movie adaptations garner accolades (‘The Last of Us,’ ‘The Super Mario Bros Movie,’ and more), ‘Alan Wake 2’ promises a unique, captivating experience—a potential catalyst for players to explore parallel narratives within the pages of a book.

To add a bit to the below, what happens when you DON'T treat your team like people?
In another life I was a QA VP in fintech. I managed multiple teams across multiple continents. Did it for more years than I'm really comfortable admitting.
I tried treating my team like real human beings because one, they are, and two, it actually works. If people feel respected with honesty and more than just bullshit platitudes, they're willing to go the extra mile more often than not.
Only I got overridden time and again by those above me with the message that none of that mattered. They wanted faster, cheaper, flawless. Don't tell them how to make that happen because to do that requires changes and they don't want to hear that.
Constant re-orgs, often because people quit, assumptions that everyone was interchangeable and that just throwing random people from other departments with no experience or time for training would somehow make everything better.
Morale was constantly in the toilet. People quit at an alarming rate or stuck around and did a half-assed job because they were so burnt out they simply stopped caring.
The kicker was how many of them were relieved when they got laid off. I know I was. They weren't happy about it, nobody is, but at least they didn't have to deal with this particular brand of crap, anymore.
Treat your teams with respect. Treat them like people. Get them what they need to do their jobs and shield them from as much of the C-Suite bullshit as you possibly can.
A simple idea, sure, and not easy to pull off, but it will pay for itself a hundred-fold.

I'm going to say something very different today from what you read on this site.
It's a little surprising to see Gaming Industry people on Linkedin and Gaming Media write long and fairly ridiculous comments/articles trying to analyze why Arrowhead Game Studios and Larian Studios (and others this year) had smash hits like Helldivers 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 (respectively).
Here is a large part of very hidden secret that seems to puzzle so many up and down the ladder in the Gaming Industry:
1. They treat their employees like actual human beings
2. They took the time needed to allow the teams the proper length of time to deliver a quality experience to the players.
I know. Shocking indeed...
The best thing I read today: While I used to be deeply immersed in the video-game industry, first as a fan, then a reporter, and then from the PR side, it's been years since I've really played anything. But this deep dive into Baldur's Gate 3 sure makes me want to go get a burly gaming PC and stay up until the wee hours, just for one more turn. What an achievement in storytelling, exploration, and adventure.
