Can you help? Or share with your networks? As many of you know, I'm really passionate about getting as many businesses as possible to get more actively involved with local schools and careers education for young people in Stockport, and I always get asked, "How?" or hear people say, "We didn't know what opportunities were available!"
Well... here's a big list for you of the requests I've received for the coming month. Please take a look and help if you can!
If you can only spare an hour or so, that's fine. If you can't have a careers stand but could help out doing practice interviews with students, that's great. There's opportunities for any business, big or small, no matter your expertise or time availability.
It's ALL our responsibility to create opportunities for our young people to get work experience, careers advice/guidance and develop those work-ready skills all employers are looking for.
#Stockport Businesses! Can you help? We've received the following requests from local secondary #schools to support in-person careers activities happening as part of #Post16 Careers Week this October.
If you're passionate about supporting the next generation, investing in youth employment, giving back to our community and championing careers in your sector, please check out the events below and get in touch if you're free to help (even if just for an hour or two).
