I made a mistake you need to learn from.
Yeah, I had my pre-data presentation last week ( I am a final year student of FUNAAB)
As the norms, we had to present and discuss about the project we are working on, especially "why we want to do it"
When it was my turn, I went out with confidence, within myself I knew I presented well, even the lecturers on seat commended me.
But, one of the lecturers spoilt the vibe when she asked a question. Of course, it was a simple question, and I explained everything.
Guess what, I already drifted from my own topic and was just talking about something else.
But, one painful thing is that she (the lecturer) actually paid attention and let me finished, making me feel myself 😔
Not knowing that, I have got it mixed up. The question was about "why are you using this test ingredients"
I was supposed to give answer relating to my topic, but I focused on 'methanogenesis' which is just another reason for using the test ingredients, but the most common one.
This taught me lessons that will benefit fit us as a service provider. Especially NO 3
💜 Understand your clients
Of course, this is needed in every relationship, not just in business. Understanding the second party is very important.
Pay rapt attention to get every detail of your client's need, this will save you a lot of stress.
💜 Show your clients your progress
This might not be compulsory, but it is necessary. As you continue to work on a project, update your clients about the current situation.
It is better when you spot a mistake early than finish the project and at the end deliver what is not right.
💜 Do not just follow trend
Large number of people going towards a direction does not validate the direction to be right.
You need to ask yourself important question, "is this meant for me/my clients". Because it is the most common does not mean it is the best solution.
I believe you have learnt something this morning. Do not forget to implement it.
P.S: What do you think about my head wear🤔
