Besides coffee dates concept (which I find genius), what additionally impressed me during my onboarding in gastromatic were the intro sessions with team leads from various departments. They say it's about understanding what other teams are working on and finding intersections with your work, but I believe there's a deeper purpose. 😁 What stood out was the personal touch in these meetings. The people I met shared their dreams, talked about personal and professional journeys, and what ultimately brought them to gastromatic. And once they set this personal tone, you just went with it. Personally, I loved it 💛 This is what builds the connection. One of my one-on-one meetings with a teamlead lasted two hours (we both come from abroad, so it took a while to share our journeys 😅 ). Since I haven't experienced many onboardings before, I'm curious about how other companies approach this process. How was your first month at a new job? Some weeks ago, Christina Krichbaum and I were sitting in a charming little café in Frankfurt, Isabella Glutenfreie Pâtisserie. While enjoying our oat milk cappuccinos and the popular white chocolate cheesecake (seriously, it's to die for), we found ourselves in an engaging conversation with David Kraetz, one of the co-founders. He told us, "What you see right now is just the beginning of where we want to go with our mission." To me, it sounded like they wanted to change the world, and from what I’ve seen, they’re well on their way. Isabella, the heart and soul of the patisserie and David's mom, was diagnosed with celiac disease years ago. She turned that challenge into something amazing, helping thousands of people enjoy delicious pastries, bread, and cakes again—all gluten-free, with some even vegan and sugar-free. If you met Isabella, you’d immediately see how her passion is driven by a simple desire to make life better and easier for others. That’s what I call making an impact. This story is too inspiring to keep to ourselves, that's why we'll soon be sharing it with the world, hoping it touches hearts as it did ours. 📽 ✨ Can’t wait to show you the final result. Here we are, at the final episode of #Bewerbungstipps Series. My first show and a much-loved project 🧡 So simple, yet so full of value (surprising for the business world). As a creator, I often start projects when inspired, mostly by people. 𝘉𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘛𝘪𝘯𝘪 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘬𝘢 is no exception, and it's time to share its story. It was my first month at gastromatic - the time for on-boarding and getting to know people. The office kitchen is usually the hub for the latter :) This is how I met Annika - in between frothing my oat milk and waiting for the machine to finish my coffee. When I learned she was a recruiter, I couldn't resist asking the burning question: h̶o̶w̶ ̶d̶o̶e̶s̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶f̶e̶e̶l̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶G̶o̶d̶?̶ How does it feel to hold power over people's lives? (memories of feeling heartbroken after each unsuccessful interview for my "dream" job flooded back) Her response struck me. To the best of my memory, she got serious and said, "It's a big responsibility. I feel nervous and worried about every person I meet. How can I make them feel less stressed? Create an atmosphere for them to be genuine? Not miss any talent?" 😳 I immediately remembered my check-in call with Tini, who was incredibly kind and cheerful and focused on why I was a good fit rather than looking for reasons why I wasn't. I remember how that made me feel - safe. For a creator's mind, such moments don't go unnoticed, at least not for me. Impressed by this approach, I wanted to showcase it to the world - 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰. And the way you are welcomed by Tini and Annika is the way the journey continues once you are a part of the team. This series is just more proof that they're here to help you show your true self. After all, if you watch all 16 episodes (that's around 30 minutes in total), you might be surprised at how comfortable you feel when you meet them in person. And that's what it's all about :) Supporting you to be the best version of yourself, at the interview or after you've landed the job. What continually fascinates me about documentary filmmaking is the unpredictable journey it offers. The storytellers, in a sense, become the directors, shaping the trajectory of the narrative.
