Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, a meaningful opportunity for us to come together and make a difference. Did you know that each year, over 700,000 people around the world die by suicide? This staggering number highlights why our support and awareness are so vital. Let’s use today to show that we care, break down stigma, and remind each other that help is always available. By sharing stories and offering support, we can build a community where everyone feels heard and valued. Let’s also take a moment to remember those we’ve lost and renew our commitment to ensuring no one has to face their struggles alone. By talking more openly about suicide, we create spaces where people can express their feelings and receive the support they need—potentially saving lives in the process. On #WSPD, SAMARITANS are sharing some practical tips to help you contribute to this important cause. You can also find more information and ways to get involved at: https://lnkd.in/eapZcVfY Together, we can make a real impact. This includes military veterans, first responders, survivors of abuse or assault, and people who have experienced serious accidents or natural disasters. Can you recognize the Signs of PTSD? They generally fall into four categories: 😥 Intrusive Memories 😫 Avoidance 😡 Negative Changes in Mood 🤬 Changes in Physical Reactions Supporting someone with PTSD requires patience, understanding, and practical actions. By raising awareness and understanding of PTSD, we can foster a more supportive and empathetic community.
