A personal post from RES President Gail Behun: As we celebrate Pride Month, I want to share a deeply personal journey that has shaped me both as a parent and as a leader. A few years ago, my child came out as non-binary. This revelation brought a whirlwind of emotions and learning curves. I realized that my expectations as a parent needed to evolve. I had to educate myself, adapt, and grow to become the parent they needed. It was a journey of understanding, acceptance, and unconditional love. This experience taught me invaluable lessons that parallel my professional life. As a leader, I've learned the importance of embracing diversity in the workforce. Just as each child requires different things from their parent, each team member has unique needs and aspirations. It's our responsibility as leaders to recognize and support these individual journeys. Pride isn't just about rainbow flags and parades; it's about introspection and growth. It's about recognizing how diversity enhances our lives and our work. By embracing our differences, we create environments where everyone feels valued and empowered. This Pride Month, let's not just celebrate externally but also look inward. Let's acknowledge the growth, love, and acceptance that the rainbow represents within each of us. Together, we can build a more inclusive and supportive world.

Major props to one of the giants of ResProp Management, Angela Aguilar, celebrating her five-year anniversary with our team!  👉 Angela is a standout leader in so many ways. Most importantly, she’s a servant leader – she’s always hyper-attentive to the needs of the teams she leads, and digs in to help them get the work done – never afraid to dive deep and help push things forward. 💥But Angela is also a fierce competitor.  Think about the affect Michael Jordan had on anyone who played on the same court–he elevated everyone’s game. On Michael’s court, you can't just show up and play–you come and give it your ALL. 👉 Same with Angela – when she commits to anything, it instantly motivates the team and suddenly they find a new gear to complete something that was previously unreachable. It’s a pleasure to work with you Angela – it’s been great fun (with a huge dose of HARD WORK) to build out ResProp with you.  Last word here – Angela’s work ethic is unmatched. You literally have to peel her away from her work. This passion is infectious and again, is something that motivates everyone around her. Day 60. You can’t integrate what you don’t celebrate. It’s been 60 days of these posts, of which I’m officially deeming another milestone achieved. As a result, a celebration is in order. Celebrating achievements is an important part of any plan. Recognizing what we have accomplished fuels us to keep going further, to keep integrating actions into our daily routine and to keep forming new habits. So, yeah - hurray, it’s a celebration! But wait, it’s also another little piece of advice at the same time. Go figure? Keep on celebrating to keep on integrating. 

Celebrating Father’s Day reminds us of the joy and pride we feel when our roles are recognized and appreciated. This sense of fulfillment should extend to our professional lives as well. It’s essential to stay committed to our responsibilities without always seeking personal achievements. True success isn't just about individual accomplishments; it’s about contributing to the collective victory of our team. When our team succeeds, we succeed – this shared triumph is a more meaningful and enriching form of success. By focusing on the success of our team, we foster a more collaborative and supportive work environment. This collective effort not only leads to greater achievements but also builds stronger, more resilient teams. Ultimately, our individual success is intertwined with the success of those around us, making every victory a shared celebration.
