🍻 Exciting Project Completion at Heineken Lanka Brewery 🍻 I'm thrilled to share my recent project at Heineken Lanka Brewery where I developed a cutting-edge Missing Bottle Detector system for beer crates. 🍺 📸 Image Processing Magic: This project is all about leveraging image processing technology to ensure that each beer crate leaving the brewery contains the expected 12 bottles. 🔍 Precision Sensors: We implemented a network of high-precision cameras and advanced image recognition algorithms to scrutinize every crate, bottle by bottle, in real-time. 🚀 Instant Alerts: When our system detects a missing bottle, it doesn't just stop there. It triggers an immediate visual and auditory alert, making sure that any deviations from the 12-bottle standard are quickly noticed and addressed. 💡 Efficiency & Quality Assurance: The Missing Bottle Detector enhances operational efficiency and quality assurance at Heineken Lanka Brewery. It ensures that only complete crates are shipped, reducing waste and enhancing customer satisfaction. 👨🔧 Easy Integration: Our solution seamlessly integrates into the existing brewery operations, providing an extra layer of reliability and automation. 📊 Data-Driven Insights: The system also collects valuable data, helping the brewery make informed decisions about production and distribution. 🙌 It was an incredible experience working on this project, and I'm proud of the results we achieved. Today, the 16th of February, is my last working day at Arla Kalmar.   ➡️ As I pass through Arla Kalmar's gates, I feel a little sad at the same time as I feel very motivated and euphoric, with a new challenge in sight.   ➡️ During my employment at Arla, I have met many knowledgeable, enthusiastic and unforgettable people. To all my colleagues, employees, managers and customers, I want to express my genuine gratitude that our paths crossed!   ➡️ During these 5.5 years, I have had the privilege of working as a manager of the departments: Milk Processing, Cheesery, Fresh Cheese Warehouse and Maturity Warehouse. As well as project manager for the entire Arla facility.   ➡️ I have had the honor of leading cross-functional teams and developing projects, had exciting collaborations locally as well as internationally and communicated with people at different levels within and outside the organization.   ➡️ Over the years I have been involved in, contributed to, coordinated and delivered results on many different levels within the organization. Worth mentioning:   ✔ 2018 – 2019. Management and implementation of new working methods and meeting structure for Arla Kalmar. Results: Increased availability of the process equipment, elimination of the most frequent causes of stoppages, more stable production as well as the involvement of resources and better consensus.   ✔ 2019. Selected for Arla's talent program. Results: Presented to the Supply Chain management team. Received a request regarding a role with bigger responsibility, to which I of course said YES to.   ✔ 2019 – 2021. Leading an extensive effort regarding safety and quality. Results: Significant development in Maturity Warehouse, looking into Safety and Way of working. Good order in the facilities. Reaching zero vision for transport damages. Reduction of vacuum leakage by +95%.   ✔ 2021 – 2022. Project manager for ensuring availability of cheese pallets. Results: An international collaboration leads to successful process assurance of Arla's and entire Sweden's requirements of cheese pallets.   ✔ 2022 – 2024. Leader of extensive energy project. Results: Fossil-free Arla Kalmar, energy savings, redundant plant. The project becomes the winner of the Arla Supply Chain Awards in the Sustainability Superstars category. BROADENING OUTLOOK: "Philip Morris Lietuva" Very interesting and useful factory visit & discussion still having "summer mood" in Klaipėda. Thanks to #lab4leaders & #ISM. Impressive company journey since investment in year 1993. Few insights after the visit: - Despite more and more demonized industry itself, company tries and finds the positive sides and mission of it's business - "TOP Employer" globally for 11 years in a row: employee package, impressive additional benefits & company culture - It can take up to 10 year and 3-4 attempts during that period of time to fully implement LEAN into the production company 😮 And high risk to get extremely increased employee rotation rate during the implementation periods (people just can't handle too much work load) - Self-sufficient micro teams with ability to take all major decisions within production lines is the key aim for the company: more demand for higher qualification staff - There is so much behind "work safety" and "work environment" I could never imagined even I've spent quite a lot of years working for various producers #lab4leaders #production #pmi
