The upcoming seminar session will feature Philipp Külpmann as the speaker. The session will focus on investigating Harsanyi's purification idea for mixed-strategy play in a simple Bayesian game with two-sided private payoff perturbations. Through data from a laboratory experiment, the aim is to test if subjects indeed play a pure strategy as suggested by Harsanyi. Additionally, this study is the first to explicitly test cut-off strategies in Bayesian games. https://buff.ly/4bzUgWq

Our paper, co-authored with my brilliant PhD student Xu Chen and the most extraordinary MS who has worked with us @chenyu zhang (now in MIT purusing his PhD), “Stochastic Semi-Gradient Descent for Learning Mean Field Games with Population-Aware Function Approximation” (https://lnkd.in/dQn2N5SR) was accepted to ICLR 2025! It introduced a new single-loop algorithm to solve forward-backward Mean Field Games.

The asymptotic behavior of the upper order statistics of diffusions with mean-field interaction was studied in a previous work with Martin Larsson and Zeyu Zhang. In this new work with Erhan Bayraktar, supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) under grant DMS-2406232, we extend those asymptotic results to diffusive games of drift-controlling players under Nash equilibrium: https://lnkd.in/eBUSyDev #DMSFunded

Monotonicity testing is a problem from the field of property testing. The first result of this book is an essentially optimal algorithm for this problem. The second result is a proof of the 2-to-2 games conjecture (with imperfect completeness). Black Myth: Wukong is an upcoming action RPG developed by the Chinese studio Game Science. Since its first reveal, the game has garnered widespread attention for its advanced graphics, innovative use of technology, and dynamic combat systems. Based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, the game presents a dark and gritty reimagining of the legendary tale, focusing on Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. https://lnkd.in/de8fR5iG
