Press release | Use of the CTU Code boosts supply chain safety and savings, survey finds
A recent study by researchers at the Italian University Politecnico di Torino has found encouraging signs of adoption of the CTU Code by shippers and forwarders.
The survey highlights multiple benefits to CTU Code users such as, decreased cargo damage and operational inefficiencies, improved safety, reputation and supply chain coordination, as well as extra costs as a percentage of revenue reduced from 37% to 10%.
The Cargo Integrity Group members, Global Shippers Forum, ICHCA International, World Shipping Council, CONTAINER OWNERS ASSOCIATION LIMITED, BIC - Bureau International des Containers, FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations and TT Club, continue its efforts to underline the positive effects of the widespread use of the CTU Code. The joint publication, 'CTU Code - A Quick Guide' and container checklist aims to facilitate a greater understanding of the code for its users. These documents are now available in multiple languages including Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and French.
