Of late, we come across many NFOs (New Fund Offers) on various themes. One such theme is of Multicap Fund. However, few of the investors might not know their recent or past performance though there is no guarantee for the future performance based on the past performance. Happened to check few of the NFOs on Multicap fund launched in the past 5 years and to share the same just for understanding. Q. “Differerece between investing money in NFO of any new mutual fund and already existing performing mutual fund in terms of future returns.... Pls explain” A. NFOs are basically new mutual funds. In the case of NFOs, it is hard to say what its returns will look like. For existing mutual funds, you can always look at past returns and get an idea. In the case of NFOs, we can look at some other factors like the fund manager’s reputation, investment objective, category and subcategory, etc. For new investors, it is just simpler to invest in existing mutual funds.
