I was tagged by CustomGPT and Alden Do Rosario to give some insights on what to expect from AI in 2024. Here are a few quick thoughts: Voice: I expect #Voice to become far more prevalent as it's the best way for us to communicate (when possible). Siri and Alexa etc will be llm enabled and finally we'll have proper smart conversations with them just like we would with a friend or a colleague. Maybe intelligence conversations with AI will begin to replace "Doom Scrolling"? Personalities: Right now #ChatGPT is pretty banal to talk to. It's soulless and clinical always trying to give a middle-ground answer. Soon we'll have different personas and personalities who will answer a question with a different flair, just like any human. We will know to ask certain questions to certain AI 'people' depending on what type of answer we need. Current events: Having a model 6+ months out of date is not good enough. #Grok is plugged into X and has all the real time updates - this will be their advantage but the rest will need to catch up. I expect Grok to catch up fast, and be integrated into Tesla cars and the Optimus Robot. AI Devices and wearables: Really excited to see what's coming here. We saw the Humane Pin which bombed, the #RabbitR1 which has promise, but I'm most excited about the Tab by Avi Schiffmann and the Rewind AI Pendant which are always listening, become our second brain and act like a life coach. Speed: Currently there is still a lag of a few seconds when we ask a question, like a delay on a phone call it's not going to work. Like humans, it needs to start thinking about an answer before it's even heard the end of the question - so it can start an answer immediately. The Rabbit R1 has tried to solve this with a 500ms response rate, this needs to become standard. Overall, AI will become a lot more 'human like'. Currently we laugh at people with AI girlfriends but soon our ai assistant will be like the friend we can't believe we ever lives without. It will be like our phone is coming to life! Keen to hear your comments and thoughts!

There are so many vital insights in this article, I have to share the full PDF! What stands out most to you? For me, it has to be the need to set up the tech architecture to scale generative AI. It’s no secret - everyone is excited about the transformative potential of gen AI, but if you don’t take the time to build the right foundations before adoption, you will struggle to scale your models and find your costs spiral as a result. This week, I had a glimpse of the future. A real-world business run by a team of AI agents, interacting with customers, making case-by-case decisions, producing reports, and analysis. The future is here, it's just not evenly distributed. If you don't believe generative AI and the new wave of AI will transform your business, it's time to rethink. Seeing a complex agentic model perform tasks is just insane 🤯. Watch this space!
