Meet the Materials: EL 150 🤝 This part was printed with Ultracur3D EL 150 from BASF and then spray coated with F+. It is a reactive urethane photopolymer with medium softness for highly elastic applications. It delivers a combination of high strength, good elongation at break, and long-term rebound. This material is used on our Origin One. Rebound Resilience: 28% Elongation at Break: 182% Hardness: 77 A

Specifically, it will cover the fundamental principles of free radical chemistry as it centers around the use of 100% solids UV Cure Aromatic/Aliphatic Polyurethanes, Epoxy, Polyesters, Polyether oligomers and there use with monomeric acrylates in combination with specific photoinitiators. The course will look at the issues of surface inhibition on free radical chemistries and techniques to limit this problem. UV light sources will also be reviewed and will include the following: full spectrum UV light sources, UV-A light sources, fluorescent UV lights and UV-A LEDs. Techniques will also be described on how to ensure that equipment and light sources are evaluated for their optimum performance. Also described in the course will be the technique of curing highly pigmented UV Cure Coatings. In addition, the course will provide a look at the development and use of UV dual cure 2-Component (2K) Polyurethanes and their use in the automotive industry as automotive clear coats. Automotive refinishing will also be described on the use of UV-A light technology for use in rapid repair of body putties, primers, and clear coats. A review of the development of a UV A cure aerospace coating as well as the development of low drag 3D printed ‘Shark Skin’ coatings. The session will round out looking at some of the newest technologies that use water and high MW polymers that are the ‘green of the green coatings’ technologies. Pouch Cell assembly and the benefits of Silicones.

This publication studies the #sustainability of polypropylene waste by using fused filament fabrication and ultimately explores the mechanical performance of #recycling polypropylene by applying the self-diffusion coefficient methodology. It is revealed that components printed at high temperatures and short time intervals have superior total accumulated diffusion, resulting in excellent #mechanical qualities between the layers; which are comparable to those achieved through injection molding. https://lnkd.in/eVeXF2wE
