Some quantum art... Visualizing the evolution of a quantum state encoding the identity function with 6-qubit inputs and 6-qubit outputs. The state is 64x64 and it takes 69 gates for the encoding. For 7 qubits, the state is 128x128, and the encoding takes 91 gates. In general, for n qubits the state is 2^n x 2^n, and the encoding needs n(3n+5)/2 gates. There are 2^n dots on the diagonal, and we need O(n^2) quantum gates to encode them. Function encoding is an example of interference used to the maximum degree. #quantumcomputing #visualization

Congrats to Tobias Haug and the authors Are quantum algorithms classically simulable? In https://lnkd.in/dh58tTzd, we show that quantum annealing of 3-regular graphs (NP-hard) can be simulated with BP-tensor networks, even for 1000 qubits and 5M gates (0.3% of circuit below).

Quantum State Transfer (QST) is the process of transferring the state of a quantum system from one qubit to another. It serves as the foundation for all quantum information and communication systems. The ultimate goal in developing a full-fledged quantum computer is to replicate the capabilities of its classical counterpart, including processing, storage, and communication.
