We recently had a discussion exploring community share ownership of resources in rural communities with Effie Ncube, follow this link to learn more about the role of community share ownership trusts and the role that communities can play in the event that these trusts are not effectively addressing issues they sought to manage in the first place. #communitydiaries https://lnkd.in/d-kJm7aY

This week's funding freeze we witnessed was not merely a case of bureaucratic confusion—it had real and disruptive consequences for essential programs, creating uncertainty for both service providers and the people who rely on these supports. To help navigate this evolving situation, we have created a timeline of recent events and the current status of key programs, including the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (RHYA) program. https://lnkd.in/eaR89cMN

Today we launch our new funding programmes in Scotland. 🎉 Community Action and Fairer Life Chances will invest £166 million of National Lottery funding over the next five years to support communities across Scotland. These programmes will focus on reducing inequalities by addressing the challenges of poverty, disadvantage, and discrimination. We’ll empower communities to take local action, create fairer life chances, and build resilience through projects that help people to connect with one another and their environment, support children and young people and help people live healthier lives. We’ll be awarding bigger and longer grants to empower projects to make lasting change. With a commitment to equity, we’re funding organisations of all sizes, including smaller groups seeking multi-year support for the first time, and expanding our definition of “community” to include those connected by shared identity or experience. Read more about our new funding programmes in our blog➡️ https://ow.ly/RUoO50UfZ7R #CommunityAction #FairerLifeChances #NationalLottery #ScotlandFunding
