I've been updating Swing Tracker to allow it to work with Quest 3! Now the player swings in VR against a virtual bowler and the trainer is able to record, save, load and replay the swing session. This session data can be shared with players all over the world to allow comparison and analysis. AlphaFlare is proud to present our talk from Unreal Fest 2024 in Prague. “Thinking outside the box” is the theme. https://lnkd.in/eZVkc2AT Marvin, our lead developer, explains how to create a computer opponent in UEFN prior to the implementation of pathfinding or AI support from the toolset. The presented game mode was part of the Fortnite UEFN experience developed for BMW, the Hypnopolis CarCreator. Many thanks also to Andreas Brock from Epic Games, who showed us how to prepare and optimize the car model for Fortnite, so that it would later fit into the 400 MB limit, together with the environment, the racetrack, the exclusive character, the materials, textures, sounds and gameplay we created. Special Thanx to Florian Dirmhirn from Epic Games, as always he was a great source of inspiration and help. This talk goes deep and shows in detail which features of UEFN can be used to intelligently map complex processes in the game. Besides the procedure of developing the code, the talk also shows how to implement the features requested by the customer without having a direct equivalent of the required functions in the API.
