I think this highlights the fact that AI hype aside, AI start-up companies need to actually be solving practical problems and demonstrating value, not just performing entertaining party tricks. As the practical realities of the tech come to light, I expect we'll see more specific applications in specific industries, rather than just general applications catering to everyone (and therefore, no-one in particular...). #AI #startups

SASS companies' start offering AI embedded into their current solutions is pretty exciting. Here are a couple of examples: Companies like Convex and Supabase offer vector databases in the box. While AI was the main use case they wanted to cover, having a simple way to set up a vector database for an easy-to-use app platform gives plenty of flexibility to small startups. Solutions like Notion already use AI to automate project and product management. This saves precious resources, time, and money. Grammarly can generate text now, which improves internal communications significantly. The way we utilize AI is ridiculous today. There are tons of shovelware. However, there are still great people, who build amazing products that will shape the future of AI. This is the future I am excited about, not the super AI that will take over the world. #AI #Innovation #Startup
