The National Auto Body Council (#NABC) recently revealed the establishment of the Changing and Saving Lives Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization to support community involvement and fundraising events. The foundation's primary focus is to assist families in need, military members, veterans, and first responders through various programs, including #NABC Recycled Rides, NABC First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.), and NABC Community Impact initiatives. In the year 2023 alone, the NABC, through these programs, distributed over 200 vehicles to families, veterans, and military members in need of reliable transportation. More than 1,500 first responders received life-saving education on vehicle rescue techniques. With the increasing demand for NABC programs, there is a growing need for resources to manage and expand these initiatives. The Changing and Saving Lives Foundation enables the NABC to actively pursue grants, gifts, and donations actively, providing the necessary means to enhance and broaden their programs. This strategic move will allow the organization to meet the rising demand and make a more substantial impact on communities where NABC members reside and work. #NABCFoundation #CommunityImpact #ChangingLives #AutobodyNews

We are excited to kick off Freetrail's 3rd annual Memorial Day Fundraiser supporting Wounded Warrior Project. To date the FT community has helped raise over $7,000 and this year we are hoping to go bigger. We encourage any brand in the trail/running/outdoor space who will be holding a Memorial Day Sale to consider a donation to this effort. Memorial Day of course was originally a moment to honor those who have served their country and did not make it home. Not the unofficial kick off to summer. Or 40% off anything. This isn't meant to shame a company holding a sale. We get it. But please condisder a donation out of your profits. As a reminder this was originally born out our friend Ari Sonnenburg's annual tribute to his friends that he served with in the US Army. This year his effort is a big one. A 75 hour vision quest through the Netherlands to see how far he can go. Every day, 58 injured veterans and their families sign up to receive critical services and support offered by WWP. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, warriors and their families will never pay a penny for these life-changing programs. How can you participate? Oh how many ways! 1. Donate if you are able to. 2. Get your employer to match the donation if that's a perk that they offer. 3. Spread the word on social media with your friends and family (maybe a repost here?) 4. If you are connected to a brand in the outdoor world encourage a donation if they will be offering Memorial Day Sales. Let's encourage them and not shame them but remind them what this holiday is really about 5. Support Ari. Are you connected to a shoe brand? We are looking for a brand to donate shoes and gear to help him with this effort. Any leads are appreciated! 6. Go out and do your own adventure and tell us all about it 7. Host a podcast? Mention this effort! Thanks in advance. Here is the link to our fundraising page - https://lnkd.in/gA8PStTz

ALL - FIRST, I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the birth of our #corps. SECOND, how many times in your Marine Corps career did you hear or even talk about "#TunTavern?" Well, for nearly 2 years there has been a team working to actually rebuild the birthplace of our Corps. I am excited to tell you, that dream is going to become a reality!!! UuuuRAH!!!!!!! We are on schedule to have the grand opening on 10 Nov 2025. In time for the celebration of our 250h #marinecorpsbirthday ! To bring you up to speed: - We are ready to sign the paperwork to purchase the land. The building location will be approximately 250 yards from the original site. - We have selected an architect - We have selected a construction company - We have our website up & running. From the site, you can select your level of support & yes, there are multiple levels of support. Here is an exciting part, to help us raise funds, we have secured the only female coppersmith, @housecopper in the U.S. She will be hand making a limited edition 18th century copper mug. Only 1,500 of these will be produced! So if you want one of these collector items you will need to get your order in EARLY. Here is the best part if you purchase one of the mugs: - They will be numbered - They will have the circa 1775 USMC emblem & the Tun Tavern stamp - You will also be able to have your name hand engraved on the face of the mug where....... - they will be displayed in a special case, specifically designed to house the mugs in THE TUN itself. AND you will never ever have to pay for a beer in the Tun! That is correct, these mugs will be bottomless.... I could go on & on, but I am glad you have read this far. Bottom line, you have the opportunity to be part of history. You have the opportunity to leave a legacy for those Marines that follow in our footsteps. Think about it, we are going to rebuild the BIRTHPLACE OF OUR CORPS, don't you want to be a part of that? There are special opportunities for Corporate Sponsorships. Reach out to me or go the website to learn more. We of the The Tun Board of Governors appreciate your assistance in raising funds to complete the project. OH, if you have not heard, SECNAV has directed CMC to hold the official 250th Ball in Philadelphia.

As Veterans Day approaches, many donors redirect their gifting to organizations that support veterans. Donors should exercise caution when giving to veterans and military charities, as some do not efficiently utilize donations to serve veteran or servicemembers. CharityWatch provides ratings and information on several such charities, urging donors to research and choose organizations wisely. Many of these charities are rated poorly due to bloated overhead costs and very limited funds allocated to actually help past and present servicemembers. Donors are encouraged to prioritize efficiency and impact when selecting the best veterans and military charities to support. https://lnkd.in/eCeEnkGK
