The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. increased organic sales by 6 per cent year-on-year to $3.94 billion in the third quarter. LA MER, Estée Lauder, Jo Malone London, Le Labo Fragrances and The Ordinary led organic sales growth, with strong performance in the EMEA region and a travel retail rebound in Asia. Across the company, the #skincare category saw 9 per cent growth. CEO and president Fabrizio Freda highlighted La Mer’s strong double-digit growth, as well as the Estée Lauder brand, which grew mid-single digits. #Makeup net sales increased 4 per cent thanks to travel retail, as well as double-digit growth in Latin America and Korea. The Estée Lauder brand performed strongly, as did Clinique - both with double-digit growth reflected across all regions. Nevertheless, the #beauty company reduced its organic net sales outlook for the year, blaming macroeconomic headwinds, softness in the prestige beauty business across Mainland China and geopolitical volatility. #beauty #retail

At present, it has cooperated with more than 150 fragrance brands, covering 15 regional markets in the Asia Pacific region, including Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, India, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Malaysia, etc. It is a large beauty omni channel distribution platform of ZUI in the Asia Pacific region. 1⃣ In 1977, Mr. Patrick Chong joined Inccape, a British trading company, to develop new businesses and sell European beauty products to Singapore; 2⃣ Mr. Patrick Chong has accumulated experience in beauty sales and discovered market opportunities for the entire Southeast Asian region - not just in Singapore, but also in Malaysia and Indonesia, leading to the idea of becoming a regional distributor for European and American beauty brands. 3⃣ In 1980, Mr. Patrick Chong left Inccape and formed Cosmetiquesde France in a joint venture with a French partner to help distribute brands under L'Oreal Group in Southeast Asia. This year’s The Peak Singapore Power List nominations include two Malaysians as a way for me to bridge regional barriers. One of them is Azran Osman-Rani. The other is this gentleman featured here in this picture with me — Syedewa ⭐️, CEO of SYEDEWA COSMETICS. His name isn’t really Syedewa (it’s Syed Fahmi) but that’s how closely interlinked his brand is to his identity as a person. One becomes the other becomes the other till the difference is scant. I chose him as one of the recipients of this year’s Power List for two reasons. The first is inclusivity. Sure, inclusivity in the cosmetics world today is a given, but back in 2016, it was an afterthought, implemented only when it was absolutely profitable. But even back then, Syed noticed the lack of lip product options for Asian women of colour in Malaysia. And so he took matters into his own hands and created something that the ladies of the country could wear. I like to joke that he’s accidentally inclusive, but in reality, I don’t think there’s anything incidental about Syed wanting to provide options for all skin tones. The second is audacity. Although Syed’s product offerings are not priced as dearly as the brands you find in Sephora, his remains one of the higher-priced brands amongst Malaysian beauty brands. In some ways, his price differentiation strategy is a bold one — opting for exclusivity instead of a mass appeal range that will guarantee him easy success. Even still, Syedewa Cosmetics has managed to gain loyal customers who align with his philosophy of inclusivity in beauty, come what may. Syed is not active on LinkedIn, but I’m confident my many Malaysian contacts following me here have heard of him in some way. But outside of LinkedIn, Syedewa readily spreads his gospel of beauty and self-care to his 310k Instagram followers. It’s for this reason that Syedewa is one of The Peak Power List recipients for the month of August, available both online and in print. It's clear that staying relevant across different platforms is key in today's interactive world. Another highlight was hearing from industry leaders like Ken Kralick, and Emilie BENETEAU, who emphasized the importance of digital channels in enhancing brand experiences, moderated bu the vibrant and insightful Anusha Couttigane. Moët Hennessy's engagement with basketball culture and ba&sh's support for female entrepreneurs truly showcased the power of meaningful brand experiences and community connection. But perhaps the most fascinating part was delving into China's influencer ecosystem. The insights moderated by Yiling Pan, and experts like Menghan, Alison Bringé (nee Levy) of Launchmetrics, and Rahul Titus of Ogilvy shed light on the unique dynamics and opportunities within this market. Xiaohongshu's Head of Luxury, Qingchen presented impressive details on the growth of the platform and their ambitious plans ahead. As we look to the future of luxury marketing, it's clear that understanding diverse consumer segments is paramount. From luxury connoisseurs to aspiring trendsetters, each group has distinct preferences that brands must cater to in order to stay ahead. ✨ Overall, the summit was a enlightening experience, reinforcing the importance of innovation, authenticity, and adaptability in navigating the ever-evolving fashion and luxury landscape.
