I think one of the most stressful part of working in the laboratory for me has to be preparation of Culture Agar. As much as I know I can prepare Agar well, I really do not like the process. From the measuring, to autoclaving to pouring of the plate it's really like a lot for me. But the most beautiful thing is that they always turn out nice. Very very nice. Am I the only one that has a part of their profession that they dread? If there is, kindly share in that comments session let's have this conversation. #publichealth #laboratorygist #goodhealthandwellbeing #sdgs

We prove that careers for chemists are diverse and dynamic, beyond the traditional lab setting. Ever wondered why scientists wear lab coats? It's about protection, but not all roles need them. Safety is our priority, it’s just our scientists have a different look. At Axil, our Site Chemist, Technical Chemist and Technical Assessors require a chemistry degree, but no lab coat is necessary. Imagine working outdoors and making a difference without the constraints of traditional lab settings! You're still a scientist but without the confines of a lab. Life Sciences Manufacturing problem-solver (executive to individual contributor hands-on heavy-lifting problem-solver who does real work, like a Sherpa who helps you climb mountains, not like a typical consultant.)
Always hire professionals if you want the job done well; witness the example shown in the picture below. Sure, the cheaper less-experienced person can get the job done, but if you want it done well so that it looks good to the rest of the world, then you need well-experienced professionals. If your life sciences manufacturing operation has problems, please call me or any of the well-experienced professionals at DLW Partners LLC because we can and will fix those problems whether they are quality, technical, operational, compliance, cultural or all of the above. Best of all, there's no harm in simply contacting us to learn more about how we can help you, so please don't hesitate, just call us. Your ops and your stakeholders will thank you. Learn more at: https://lnkd.in/ghWpKtQg Origin of this picture: the Amateur's work below is mine from senior chemistry lab at Michigan State University, and the Professional's work was from Keki, our master glassblower instructor. Same tools, same starting materials, same design, very different work product because he was a well-experienced professional, and I was not. When you work with professionals, great things get done! Call DLW Partners LLC today and we'll show you.

🌏 💡 My first weeks in Cruda have been all about connecting the dots between circular economy, sustainable industrial solutions and our technology as part of a Net Zero solution. Truly exciting stuff, and so much fun to learn from some of the best in the industry (including our own Johnny Kristoffersen). 🌱⌛ So far, the shift from LifeSci to green industry is pretty much as expected. F.ex: The structured approach to R&D required to solve complex challenges is quite similar. Yet, products that will ultimately end up in a melting furnace instead of the human body are (unsurprisingly) not restricted by the same heavy regulatory requirements. The testing cycles are quicker and easier, and that speed is a welcome change from my side. More importantly: Net Zero will not wait, so speed is of the essence. 🔎👨🏭 We have our work cut out for us at CRUDA, and are now strengthening our team with two new hires for our newly established lab in Fredrikstad. Join us on our journey! Or perhaps you know someone that could be interested? “Our culture already has customs, lore, science and engineering which, being Australian-made, is world-leading. We have been able to take our oral stories and practical sciences from country, and marry them up with the use of modern techniques.” That's ANSTO analytical chemist Brett Rowling who features in the latest issue of Careers with STEM: Science, out next week. What does a coffee break mean to you? Apart from the much-needed #CaffeineFix that is. This article in Chemistry World offers some opinions that I think we can all agree on, arguing that this important ritual provides everything from a refreshing mental break to an opportunity to garner nuggets of knowledge from colleagues. In fact, the author maintains that these little breaks from the lab have been vital for her development, offering a chance to learn some ‘quirky tricks’ in #OrganicChemistry. Hello everyone, I'm thrilled to share my latest series of short videos on acid-base titration, where I've taken a unique approach to explain this complex topic. Each video focuses on a specific concept, starting with the basics of dilution and its impact on molarity. I then gradually build up to more intricate topics like aliquoting and whether it affects the concentration of a solution. Then, I discuss the mixing of strong and weak acids, setting the stage for a detailed exploration of titration. The final video in the series dives into the concept of titration, bringing together all the previous concepts to illustrate the practical application of acid-base titration in analytical chemistry. I've designed these videos to be engaging and informative, breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand segments. Whether you're a student looking to strengthen your understanding of titration or simply curious about chemistry, I'm confident you'll find these videos insightful. Check out the series on The Chem Squad channel and let me know your thoughts. Your feedback is invaluable as I continue to create content that makes learning chemistry accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Sharing the link of the final video. Hey, guess what! I also tried my hand at animations this time! https://lnkd.in/gZEfS6DU #ChemistryEducation #AcidBaseTitration #ScienceCommunication #TheChemSquad
