I write about beginner business for ministry leaders looking to generate positive cash flow | Los Altos Christian School Head of School | I am obsessed with digital marketing for non-profits.
An average American household has 17 screens compared to 2.4 screens just 20 years ago. Screen has replaced play in Young Children, taking away valuable time for brain development and other developments. I recently trained 9 Early Years Professionals on the importance of play and how to share it with parents. I created a 3000-words guide to help them to walk through the steps of facilitating play: • Planning • Set-Up • Active Observation • Reporting You can access the guide in the comment Read this post and more on my Typeshare Social Blog: https://lnkd.in/gjPCzJxk

Thrilled to share my enthusiasm for ‘Beyond Behaviours: Using Brain Science and Compassion to Understand and Solve Children's Behavioral Challenges' by Mona Delahooke. This insightful read sheds light on the concerns around how behaviors are understood, interpreted, and managed for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. As someone deeply invested in understanding autism spectrum challenges this book resonated deeply with me. Highly recommend this book to all educators, parents, and professionals in the field! #AutismAwareness #BehavioralScience #CompassionateApproach

We know there is a lot of noise out there around screentime. And while the evidence isn’t always clear, this latest study shows that for some kids - especially those with more challenging temperament types - screen use may impact self regulation skills, and lead to more difficult behaviors. That’s an important message for parents who use screentime regularly to try and calm challenging behaviors. Interested to learn more? Check out the article here: https://bit.ly/3zAkB91
