Is the trucking ecosystem effectively capturing and amplifying the tacit and explicit knowledge necessary to smoothly electrify transport? While I appreciate a good dashboard full of operational data (like NACFE's Run On Less), I can't help but wonder if we're overlooking the important details – the real-world experiences, the gut feelings, the "aha!" moments – that could accelerate the transition to electric trucks. Some of these are currently only well captured in one-on-one conversations, which though rich in detail can be quite a challenge to capture. Imagine if we had a treasure trove of stories alongside the data. Not just "what went right/wrong," but the human side of the trials. The range anxiety anecdotes, the unexpected triumphs, the lessons learned the hard way. We need to capture and share these narratives, because the transition is not just a technological transition but a socio-technical one. But where? Do we have a dedicated service, platform or even technology for this yet? I'm curious to hear your thoughts in the comments. Is there a need for a centralized hub where we can gather, discuss, and learn from the experience of those leading the transition? And if so, what would it look like?

Electrification is not just about the environment… Yes, that’s a big part of it. But the more sustainable tech innovation we see, the more it’s proving to simply be better tech. Let’s take the electrification of fleets as an example. The US Department of Energy estimates that electrified fleets can eliminate breakdowns by more than 70% when paired with good Fleet Management Software. Think about operating a fleet of dozens of heavy-duty trucks and having real-time data on all of them with pinpoint accuracy. Anything from battery usage and temperature to motor and electrical system functions. That sounds like the future, and the future sounds amazing. Read about how to make that future a reality in Prologis Mobility's latest white paper. #evfleets #electrification
