We find that the key is to remain active across multiple sourcing channels, and maintain strong relationships (brokers, builders, iBuyers, wholesalers, and other direct sellers). - Distress is not systemic but the growing liquidity needs from Funds and OpCos will create some opportunities. - New product (co-living, ADUs, etc.) are gaining some traction due to affordability, but proceed with caution due to financing concerns, and uncertainty around institutional pricing and demand at scale. - 2024 is looking brighter than 2023 for those with strong financial footing, with an increase in institutional activity and pricing stability. 🔎 Cyrus' Insights: 🏡 Panel Participation: "Identifying The Key Strategies For Growth & Entering New Markets At Ferrari Speed" - No matter how much technology you have, you still need some boots on the ground. You can scale and improve efficiency with remote and centralized resources, but you need physical presence in the markets. - When assessing new markets, it's not just about the yields and local supply & demand conditions, there are regulatory and operational considerations as well: How much red tape is there?
