After losing her adolescent son in a car accident, Kristy found herself struggling to survive and lacking hope. His passing led her to live in a tent under a bridge in Baldwin Park, where she was later connected with LAHSA’s outreach team. Their assistance helped Kristy find some normalcy in life again.
