Serving the perfect 1930's Cosmo couldn't be easier with #MrLsCocktails! A prohibition version of the cult classic, the 1930’s cosmopolitan is served as the classic version of its modern day counterpart. Using gin in place of vodka, raspberry instead of cranberry and lemon rather than lime, this recipe was discovered in a 1930’s cocktail book and has become a favourite serve in cocktail bars. How to: Pour 140mls into a cocktail shaker, add ice, shake well, strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist. Each cocktail is simple to serve with no staff training needed, takes at least half the time to make the exact same cocktail from scratch and ensures consistency, with each cocktail tasting the same and no variation throughout the night. Alternative Investments | Brand Management | Bourbon & Tequila | Import & Export | Private Label | Bulk Spirits | Compliance
Tequila is still pulling in the cash for bar owners. Gin and Whiskey aren't far behind, with a touch of rum joining in. I still believe a large percentage of the profits are derived (in the on premise) in the cocktail segment, as opposed to beer and some entry level RTDS. I like the emergence of the espresso martini and mai tai. Cordials and flavored spirits are making a comeback. Beverage Solutions || Big Dog New York LLC You need to get in the agave space now. Dont forget gin and cordials. https://lnkd.in/enTEC4Va

Today is National Cocktail Day celebrating all types of cocktails. Cocktails usually consist of a wine or distilled beverage - such as whiskey, brandy, vodka, rum, or tequila - mixed with ingredients such as soda, liqueurs, fruit, or juice. The word "cocktail" has been in print since at least 1803, but probably predates that. The word is possibly derived from the French word "coquetier," which means "egg cup." Egg cups held a concoction of bitters and brandy, and were served by Antoine Peychaud after he arrived in New Orleans in 1795. The word appeared in a Hudson, New York, newspaper - the Balance - in 1806. By about 1800, a mixture of various whiskeys was called a cocktail. A cocktail hour is a time during the late afternoon or early evening when people enjoy a cocktail before dinner. The term is thought to have originated in New York City during Prohibition. Celebrate the day by having a few cocktails. Try them shaken, stirred, on the rocks, or frozen. Drink responsibly. And don’t drink and drive. Here are the best mocktails —> https://lnkd.in/gv9J54m Btw: Cocktail shakers were invented in the 1860s.

🍸 All In The Bottle - IMBIBE London 🍸 It might seem like we're spending more time out of the factory than in it right now, but rest assured, everything is chugging along smoothly in the background. This allows us to attend these amazing shows and connect with as many new and innovative producers as we can. 👨🎓 This week, we went to Imbibe Live. The Imbibe Live Show is a trade event for the UK on-trade drinks industry, bringing together professionals like bartenders, sommeliers, and bar managers. It features exhibitors showcasing a variety of products and offers educational sessions and networking opportunities with industry experts. There were loads to see, taste and enjoy. It was great connecting with Nicolas Medicamento MIH from Club Soda and hearing his exciting future plans. His talk about creating alcohol free cocktails that customers will love, was really great, and the samples handed out were delicious. It was brilliant to see the emphasis on inclusive drink menus in this conversation, as the trend for mindful drinking is certainly not going anywhere. Also it was brilliant to catch up with two fellow Sober Business Network Limited friends, Angharad Fell from NoLo Cocktails & Bars and Denise Hamilton-Mace from Low No Drinker Magazine. It was the first time actually talking to Denise IRL which was such a treat! Overall a fun show again this year - Cannot wait for 2025, and the continuing growing focus on different NA based drinks. Did you go this week? What was your favorite part? 𝙍𝙏𝘿 𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨, 𝙧𝙪𝙢, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙖 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩: 😎 Ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, rum and tequila are set to dominate the spirits market, according to new research. A survey of founders of UK independent beverage companies, by rum brand The Duppy Share in collaboration with CGA by NIQ, showed RTD cocktails, in particular, have garnered attention, with 52% of respondents forecasting “fast growth”, the largest across all formats. In terms of spirits, rum and tequila are the only categories that experienced growth in 2023 and are forecast to continue their upward trajectory, according to the companies surveyed, particularly as consumer interest shifts away from gin, which experienced a 14% decrease in sales last year. However, mirroring the trend seen in the US, agave spirits continue to gain momentum. This category saw a 4% increase in sales in 2023. Looking ahead, agave spirits are expected to maintain a steady growth trajectory, with a projected annual growth rate of 2% from 2023 to 2028. This is reflected in rum, showing a 2% growth in 2023, and forecasting a steady growth in the coming years from its larger base volume. Creating a series of cocktails for your cocktail menu, weather its seasonal, monthly or bi-monthly is a great tool to keep your regular customers and guests revisiting your venue and falling in love with your bar program. This is exactly what the legendary Milk&Honey did. The bar team created a series called “HANDS” featuring different cocktails that essentially were variations of other successful cocktails. The Right Hand (Aged Rum), Tres Hands (Tequila/Mezcal) and Smoking Hand (Scotch) were examples of this series. The Left Hand, created by Sam Ross is a play on the Negroni…just before the Boulevardier had its comeback to popularity. @samueljoelross *Original recipe called for Bittermans chocolate bitters (I couldn’t get my hands (right or left) on it for this vid, so try it both ways and let me know your thoughts👇 THE LEFT HAND 1.5 oz Bourbon .75 oz Sweet Vermouth .75 oz Campari 3 dashes chocolate bitters Brandies cherry garnish Served..up #eventplanning #eventplanner #customerretention

I'm waiting for the Japanese RTD's to invade with their 25 proof contents supercharged with CO2 for maximum absorption as quick as possible so grandma's swinging from the straps after her first can. The advice on cranberry juice is off. You cannot mix consistently with it if it's sweetened with corn syrup. You can if it's sweetened with sugar. The cost increase is about $1/bottle for that performative consistency. You can also skip the sugar and crush your own. Unsweetened, a little goes a long way. Rendered as an unsweetened mash it makes an excellent rinse for clear liquors to provide cranberry pink color and light cranberry citrus-y notes and the mash can be tossed after the rinse. This tends to wow gin and dessert drinkers who assume the color is grenadine. I think we've reached peak pricey booze as I'm seeing a lot of quality hooch being move to off-brand mass consumers who would rather spend $25 vs. $100/bottle and there's just tsunamis of the stuff reaching maturity. Few distilleries are faced with a Kirin problem of killing brands because the quality blends they used to make are no longer possible with their depleted aged stocks.
From tasting serves and monogrammed ice cubes to RTDs in bars and a 90s revival, here’s what we think 2024 could have in store for cocktail culture https://ow.ly/L7tA50Qlpam
