This Mental Health Month, take action. We can’t stop talking about people who are hurting, and we can’t stop advocating for them to get the care they need. Nobody needs to be turned away because of their financial status. Nobody needs to be denied care because of their work schedule. Nobody needs to believe that they have to fight their hardest days alone. Join us this Mental Health Month in raising $175K so we can continue bringing a message of hope, connection, and mental health support to 20,000,000 people this year. Learn more about our Mental Health Month campaign, the Move For It 5K+, at twloha.com/moveforit5k.

Mental health is the #1 reason California kids are hospitalized. We need to talk about this serious issue affecting our kids as often as possible. Children Now's Senior Director of Behavioral Health, Lishaun Francis, did just that last month, speaking with teens about their mental health and listening to what they need to overcome the unique challenges they face today, as part of a town hall in collaboration with PBS NewsHour. We'd love you to take a bit out of your day to listen: https://bit.ly/4byWJRf And if you feel like joining the fight for better mental health support for kids across California, learn much more about the issue in the 2024 California Children's Report Card: https://bit.ly/3H7UI0l

I’ll help you re-write the song in your head and re-tool,re-fuel,and re-imagine a fulfilled life!🧠🎤🎶 * A New Birth Life Coaching * Mind the Mental Nonprofit * Author, Preacher, Editor, Speaker
I want to thank Rev. Carmi Washington Flood and the DMV Faith in Action Group (a collaboration between the health departments of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC)for inviting me to kick off their 2024 webinar series. I was able to educate faith leaders and others about mental health and the importance of modeling positive mental health practices within our faith communities. I encouraged participants to imagine what our faith communities might look like if: *there were safe spaces in communities of faith for people, including clergy, to be honest? *Mental health resources were displayed prominently and discreetly at the same time? *Faith and therapy could co-exist without judgement or stigma? *We have the conversation within our faith communities? I also challenged them with two thought questions: 1. What might the intersection between faith and therapy look like in your faith community? 2. How will you be a part of the solution?

Mental health awareness month #day5 Today is a Sunday , sure most of us went to church smile 😊 .... did you?? Today I'm taking this advocacy 🪧 to churches"Mental Health Advocacy in Churches: Let's Break the Silence!!!! It's good to pray, it's fine if you speak in tongues, evangelism is great, but do we check on our mental health?? As people of faith, we're called to care for one another's well-being - body, mind, and spirit. Yet, mental health is often stigmatized or overlooked in our communities. It's time to change that! Let's create safe spaces for open conversations, support, and resources. Let's educate ourselves and others about mental health. Let's pray for and with those struggling, and advocate for inclusive, compassionate care. Together, we can break the silence and build a culture of understanding, love, and support. Let's prioritize mental health in our churches and show the world what it means to truly love our neighbors as ourselves. #MentalHealthAdvocacy #ChurchesForMentalHealth #BreakTheSilence"#sunday #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthsupport #ItCouldBeYou #mentalhealthadvocacy #sundayvibes
