In this study, the arrangement of several cold plasma generators for the large-area treatment of planar substrates was investigated. Two limiting factors influence the design of such arrays: the parasitic coupling between the devices, which leads to a minimum allowable distance between them, and the homogeneity of the large-area treatment.
