As someone who has spent 25 years working in non profit recruitment I have been told numerous times by many people that they want to "make a difference" At TPP we talk about working with purpose and we have seen first hand the impact that dedicated individuals can have on the lives of others through their work in the non profit sector. Whether this is a fundraiser securing a major donor, a Trustee shaping strategy or an HR professional making an impact through EDI. "We're here to help you find the perfect fit so you can focus on making a difference." This is SO important for #NonProfitLeaders to hear, understand, and respond to. So often, Director-level and above positions are already wearing too many hats and have a never-ending to-do list. A thoughtful hiring process is often short-changed by the tyranny of the urgent. The strategy is often "post it and see who comes in." (Spoiler alert: that's not a great strategy.) Yet, making the right hire could make their lives so much easier and allow them to serve their mission so much more effectively. It doesn't have to be this way, my fellow non-profit friends!
