Today, we come together to raise awareness and take action to prevent suicide. Suicide remains a global public health issue, with 73% of suicides occurring in low- and middle-income countries, and it was the third leading cause of death among 15-29-year-olds globally. The impact is especially significant among men, as the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) noted. In line with the WHO Mental Health Action Plan 2013-2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, let’s work towards reducing the global suicide rate by implementing the "LIVE LIFE" strategies. Together, we can change the narrative and foster a world where everyone feels supported. Let's #BeTheLight and promote mental well-being. 💡 #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #MentalHealthMatters #BreakTheStigma #LIVE_LIFE #SupportAndCare #ChangeTheNarrative

Since 2018, there has been a huge rise in the number of adults under 25 who have taken their own lives ~ @samaritans Today, on World Suicide Prevention Day, we come together to raise awareness and offer hope to those who feel like they have none left. The high suicide rates in the UK is a global health crisis, claiming 5284 in 2022, with countless others affected by the loss of loved ones. These statistics are heartbreaking but there is hope. By fostering open conversations about mental health, educating ourselves on the warning signs, and supporting those who are struggling, we can make a huge difference. 1 in 5 people in the UK have had suicidal thoughts BUT there is still SO much stigma around talking about it. We want to change that! Reaching out to someone who seems distant or offering a listening ear can be life-changing. Your words, your presence, your empathy—these small acts can help someone feel less alone. This is why at Counterpoise we do what we do. We genuinely care about your health and happiness and we want to create a safe space for as many people as possible to easily access the help they need. If you or someone you know is struggling, please know that help is available. We are not afraid to talk about the hard topics. You are not alone, and your life matters. Let’s work together to create a world where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported. #worldsuicidepreventionday #mentalhealthmatters #therapy
