Select a time slot for airport security? Yes, please! Something to keep on your radar for those traveling to / from London. Sadly, United Airlines did not make the list for the trial so I can not test it next month, but will keep my eye on how "Heathrow Timeslot" pans out. ------------------------------------------- While some airports offer fast-track passes to skip longer lines through airport security, it's not the ideal option if you’re looking to save money to spend at your destination. Finally, one airport is testing out a way to remove the potential of facing endless queues at security—for free. So much of the flying experience involves hidden fees or convoluted processes designed to catch travelers unawares, so this is a nice exception to a rather frustrating rule. https://lnkd.in/eECE4miQ

I love to read, and I love to travel. For me, these two passions are intricately linked; books often inspire my journeys, while travel provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying a good story. Whether it’s curling up in a cozy café corner with a captivating novel or finding a quiet spot in a bustling city to immerse myself in a book, I find that literature enhances my travel experiences. As autumn approaches, it’s the perfect time to seek out stories that inspire wanderlust and encourage exploration. Here’s a list of some recommended books that can ignite your travel spirit this fall: ➡ "Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel" by Rolf Potts A practical and philosophical guide to traveling the world for an extended period, encouraging readers to embrace a lifestyle of adventure. ➡ "The Geography of Bliss: One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places in the World" by Eric Weiner A humorous exploration of various countries and their unique perspectives on happiness, blending travel with cultural insights. ➡ "A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail" by Bill Bryson A witty and engaging account of Bryson’s attempt to hike the Appalachian Trail, filled with humor, history, and reflections on nature. ➡ "In Patagonia" by Bruce Chatwin A blend of travel writing and personal reflection, Chatwin’s journey through Patagonia reveals the beauty and mystery of this remote region. ➡ "The Art of Travel" by Alain de Botton A philosophical exploration of travel, examining our motivations and the deeper meanings behind our journeys, accompanied by stunning descriptions. ➡ "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac A classic beat novel that captures the spirit of adventure and the quest for meaning through a cross-country road trip in post-war America. ➡ "The Places in Between" by Rory Stewart A travel memoir chronicling Stewart’s journey on foot across Afghanistan, offering insights into the country’s culture, history, and resilience.

Since Japan's reopening in June 2022, I have seen many travelers going to that amazing destination ( 🙋♀️ ), and my client's interest has peaked for inquiries. As tourism has exploded in that country and demand is high, another destination to consider is South Korea. The natural landscapes of Jeju Island (which is stunning!) have helped the site earn South Korea’s first UNESCO World Heritage status. Big K-pop fans? Keep an eye on BTS's "tentatively" scheduled concert plans for 2025 and weave it in along your travels. https://lnkd.in/eSCGbpZi
