This taken from an internal communication here a Elenchos Health referring to one of Care managers. During a routine follow-up, Hannah was informed by a patient of difficulty breathing. She immediately recognized the gravity of the situation and directed the patient and her daughter to call 911, which they initially refused. Undeterred, Hannah promptly reached out to the patient’s office to notify them of the critical situation. Following Elenchos protocol for urgent situations, she took the extra step to ensure the patient was not left unattended to. Hannah’s persistence in advocating for the patient was critical. She called back to emphasize the urgency of seeking emergency care, which ultimately led the patient to the E.R. The following day, Hannah continued to show her exemplary care by checking the patient’s EMR and confirming that the patient had indeed followed her advice, resulting in the necessary medical attention that was crucial for the patient’s health. This situation is a powerful reminder of the impact our care can have on patients’ lives. Hannah’s actions demonstrate an extraordinary level of dedication and care. She went beyond the call of duty, not just following procedures but actively engaging to ensure the patient received the care needed. #HealthcareHero #PatientCare #EmergencyResponse #CareManager #HealthcareProfessional #MedicalEmergency #PatientAdvocate #HealthcareDedication #BeyondTheCallOfDuty #HealthcareImpact #MedicalCare #UrgentCare #CriticalSituation #PatientAdvocacy #HealthcareTeam #HealthcareProtocol #ExceptionalCare #DedicatedProfessional #HealthcareProvider #NurseAdvocate

I had the privilege of attending a thought-provoking symposium on supporting clinicians in the aftermath of a medical error or adverse event. The discussions highlighted the critical need for a culture of safety, transparency, and compassion in healthcare. We explored the emotional toll of medical errors on clinicians, patients, and families, and the importance of providing psychological support and resources to prevent burnout and promote resilience. The symposium emphasized the need for: -Open communication and honest disclosure -Peer support and mentorship programs Training in error prevention and management -Emphasis on system-level changes over individual blame Let's work together to create a healthcare environment where clinicians feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to speak up, share, and learn from mistakes. #healthcare #patient safety #clinicianwellbeing #medicalerrors"

We don’t often think about what might happen if we’re unable to make our own medical decisions. But life can throw unexpected situations our way. If you're ever incapacitated without a healthcare proxy in place, it can lead to confusion and stress for your loved ones. Without someone legally designated to step in, decisions about your medical care could be delayed, or worse, left in the hands of someone who might not fully understand your wishes. Let’s explore how this scenario can unfold in North Carolina and why planning ahead could make all the difference for you and your family. https://lnkd.in/eym-hetg #HealthcareProxy #HealthcarePOA #POAForMedicalCare #RaleighLawyer #RaleighEstatePlanning #EstatePlanningLawyer

"Use Your Voice" is the inspiring new children's book by Alice Paul Tapper, born from her harrowing experience with a near-fatal health emergency in 2021. This powerful story encourages everyone, especially children, to advocate for themselves in healthcare settings. However, we at NShore Patient Advocates understand that self-advocacy isn't always possible or easy, particularly when you're dealing with a serious illness or complex medical situation. That's where we come in. If you find yourself unable to speak up or navigate the healthcare system effectively, a NShore Patient Advocate can be your voice and your guide. Our experienced advocates can provide the same crucial support that Alice's story promotes - ensuring your concerns are heard, your questions are answered, and you receive the care you need. Whether it's for yourself or a loved one, remember that you don't have to face health challenges alone. When you can't advocate for yourself, let NShore Patient Advocates be your voice in the healthcare system. #PatientAdvocacy #HealthcareNavigation #UseYourVoice #NShorePatientAdvocates See Alice Paul Tapper's CNN interview here: https://buff.ly/3TRSvgg
