This review paper explore into the synergy between sustainable soil management, rural practices, and transformative agroecology. 📚 New UPSCALE publication UN says up to 40% of the world’s land is now degraded! Our partners from Maseno University (Dennis Mulupi, Cosmas Kiprono, Esther Ng’ong’a, Winnie Oliech, Fredrick Aila, Benjamin Ombok and George Odhiambo) are working on resolving challenges such as low soil fertility, pests, and climatic changes that threaten agricultural sustainability in Sub-Saharan Africa. EARA is leading what might be the largest study on Regenerative Agriculture ever conducted 🌍 Through this study, we're aiming to showcase the powerful synergy between #Economics and #Ecology in the agricultural sector. 🌾 We want to prove that Pioneering Farmers are already achieving far more than many scientists and policymakers believe possible. 👩🌾 We want to demonstrate that governments already have the infrastructure to support farmers in agroecosystem health regeneration—context-specific remuneration and positive feedback loops without additional costs. 📊 We want to show that agricultural #Economics needs new methodologies, embedding economies within ecologies to advance scientific analyses.
