As we wrap up 2024, it’s the perfect time for a little reflection, and those who know me well know that I am a big fan of that 😊. This year has been a blend of individual strengths coming together as one solid team. Each person brought their own flavor to the mix, and together, we’ve worked on some nice results and tackled some challenges. A big thank you to our impressive customers: for keeping us sharp, for challenging us and collaborating in the most open and transparent way. You made us better, and we feel we did the same for you. Here's to further pushing boundaries and making an impact together. 💪 While we take a moment to appreciate 2024, we can’t help but get excited about 2025! Plans are already shaping up: with the customers we know, for the new ones we’ll meet, with our current team, and for the team members who will join us in the future. 2024 was a year of firsts… They say you shouldn’t live in the past, and trust me, I’m all about looking forward. But reflection can be just as important as ambition. As I take a moment to look back, I can’t help but feel proud of the milestones we hit in 2024. Each one a step into uncharted territory and a testament to the progress we’ve made as a team: ✨ Our first major acquisition with PokerListings, a huge leap for the company’s growth and future. 🎥 My first video interview and stepping onto a stage as a speaker at an offline conference, pushing myself far outside my comfort zone. 📍 Showcasing our work at a major industry event with our very own stand, a moment that made us all proud. These were all building blocks. A foundation for the bigger, bolder goals we’re chasing in 2025. Thank you to my team, our partners, and everyone who supported us along the way. Celebrating Wins and Reflecting on 2024 As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to celebrate the wins, no matter how small they may seem! For me, 2024 has been a year of growth, learning, and connection. I've had the opportunity to work with amazing individuals, learn new skills, and push beyond my comfort zone. In all honesty, 2024 has been a challenging year from a business perspective. Working against the backdrop of a tough economic climate, and with the industry as a whole being relatively quiet, things have been slower than we'd hoped. But there’s still a lot to celebrate. One big milestone was moving into our new office and edit suite. It felt like a real step forward for BearJam, even if there were moments when investing in the business felt risky. Another highlight? Building out our team. We’ve had some team members leave this year for various reasons, and we’ve worked hard to build out our current team of talented, committed people. As a result, I feel that BearJam is now on its strongest footing (or should that be ‘paw’ing 👀) yet. And, through it all, we’ve never lost sight of what makes BearJam special: the team, the energy, and all the fun we have together. So, while 2024 hasn’t been the easiest, it’s how you finish that matters. Right? We’ve taken the lessons, celebrated the wins, and are gearing up for a bigger and better 2025. Let’s get to work!
