Embarking on my new adventure transitioning from a clinical to a non-clinical role has been quite the quest. As a clinician and former epidemiologist, I look forward to using my critical thinking, analytical skills, and deep understanding of healthcare systems in a fresh way. I’m currently exploring opportunities in medical affairs, where I can utilize my experience to build strong relationships and educate my healthcare colleagues, while continuing to make a greater impact in healthcare. "At the start of the pandemic, experts say we bid adieu with the "awkward" wave in an effort to rebuild social connection. Now, three-plus years later, 55% of us still wave when hopping off Zoom calls. While that is a 2% decline from last year." I have been using virtual calls for over 5 years as a Pre-PA mentor and always end my sessions with a smile and wave. It never occurred to me that this was considered "awkward" and not a standard. It's been a whirlwind of an adventure taking a leap of faith to explore my next chapter as a PA.
