Not all roll feeds are created equal. With many roll feeds, length inaccuracy and surface damage are common. The root cause of these issues is not having a good hold on the strip, which allows the feed rolls to slip on the material. Red Bud Industries has engineered our Roll Feeds from the ground up to specifically address these issues. Traditional roll feeds incorporate partial width rolls with a fixed roll crown. However, thicker material typically requires more crown, while thinner material require less. And since the crown is fixed, it is a compromise of the two extremes. To the contrary, Red Bud’s Feed incorporates full width Feed Rolls and a variable auto-adjusting crown. As a result, when running thicker material, the crown is automatically increased while it is reduced for thinner material.
