💡The statistician George Box once wrote that, “All models are wrong, but some are useful”.💡 To say that the natural world is complex would be a profound understatement. Recognising what makes a natural system healthy is difficult, and so too is understanding how human populations can be sustainably integrated into those systems. Anyone involved in such work needs a good model. At LandScale, we’re guided by our four pillars - Ecosystems, Human well-being, Governance, and Production. Each of the pillars is carefully detailed, pinning down precisely what it is intended to achieve. We believe that enduring positive impact comes from supporting people and nature at the same time, and not at the expense of one another. Together with our thorough data-collection and monitoring mechanisms, our platform is a powerful tool for any landscape initiative. With all this in mind, we may want to revise George Box’s proverb. 🌞 “All models are wrong, but some are very useful” 🌞 See the full assessment framework here >>> https://lnkd.in/erPWN5NR
