When it comes to business acumen, consider candidates with experiences in business and operations in organizations similar to yours. A Bachelor's degree in Business and an MBA are helpful, but don't overlook the value of job experiences and successful outcomes. While knowledge in dental is a plus, it's not a must. Strategic thinking and critical thinking skills are essential for analyzing data and making tough decisions to achieve cost savings. Contract negotiation is also an art that requires experience and proficiency. Finally, communication skills are crucial for cultivating vendor relations and interacting with stakeholders. Look for candidates who are professional, assertive, and possess good interpersonal skills. Remember, hiring the right talent is crucial for the success of the individual in their role and the organization as a whole.
