Shell is considering selling its refinery assets located on Singapore's Bukom Island¹². The assets include a refinery producing 237,000 barrels per day and an ethylene plant with a capacity of one million metric tonnes per year¹². Shell has shortlisted at least four companies for the potential sale, including global energy trader Vitol, state-run China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), and Chinese chemical companies Eversun Holdings and the Befar Group¹². The interested parties have been asked to submit formal proposals by the end of February 2024¹². Shell aims to complete the sale by 2024¹².
