This September, we’re calling on our community to help us continue this vital work. Why Your Support is Crucial: Every day, adults with disabilities in our community face challenges that many of us take for granted. Whether it’s finding meaningful employment, connecting with peers, or accessing essential services, these individuals deserve the same opportunities as anyone else. With your help, we can provide: Skills Training: Equipping our members with the tools they need to gain independence and confidence. Community Engagement: Offering social activities and events that foster connection and belonging. Advocacy and Support: Ensuring that every individual has a voice and the support they need to thrive. Here’s How You Can Make a Difference This Month: 1. 🎁 Donate: Your contributions directly impact the lives of the individuals we serve. Every donation, big or small, helps us provide essential services and programs. The Arc of Space Coast | Donate (arcofsc.org) 2. 🕒 Volunteer: Your time is one of the most valuable gifts you can give. Join us in supporting our events, activities, and daily operations. The Arc of Space Coast | Volunteer (arcofsc.org) 3. 📣 Spread the Word: Share our mission with your network! Welcome new, current and returning community members! At WRFN, we continuously work to foster an accepting community where all exceptional children, youth, and adults with disabilities and their families feel connected, valued, and heard. When we use the term disability, most people tend to understand who we help. However, there is so much more to using the term 'exceptionality.' Using an all-encompassing term is essential because we connect with our diverse community members. Our mission at WRFN is not just to provide resources but to empower our community through education and meaningful peer-to-peer connections reducing feelings of isolation. We believe that by supporting each other, we can help our community thrive at every life stage. No single community agency can meet every need when it comes to supporting children, youth, and adults with disabilities and their families. Together, we’re better. WRFN fills a gap in the Waterloo Region by facilitating peer connections and sharing valuable resources. The Family Network is underpinned by an innovative partnership model of several community service providers who share a common vision for family support. Our innovative partnership model supports individuals and children with and without a diagnosis, creating a lasting impact. Built by families for families, WRFN understands that each journey is unique, and its challenges are more manageable when supported. Together, we work to equip you and your family with some tools to make confident decisions and respect each family's unique choices.
